In college, I was a co-founder of a BIPOC student led art collective on campus called Spotlight FIT. Our mission was to amplify students of color by showing their artwork and perspectives through on campus exhibits and documentaries. In 2021, we worked with the Collegiate Association of Artists of Color (CAAC) to produce a mini series informing how other BIPOC college students can create artistic, inclusive projects on their campuses. This was to incentivize student leaders to continue their efforts during a time when quarantining was still prevalent.
